Case Study: Passport Shipping achieves real-time budgeting insights and saves 10–15 hours/week with Ramp

A Ramp Case Study

Preview of the Passport Case Study

How Passport Shipping optimized its budgeting with real-time insights

Passport Shipping, an end-to-end international shipping provider serving roughly 400 e-commerce customers, faced a highly manual, nontransparent spend process—shared Capital One cards, no receipts, and limited budgeting controls. To fix this, Passport chose Ramp’s corporate spend-management platform (unlimited virtual cards, spend controls, and Slack integration) to gain real-time visibility and control over employee spend.

Ramp implemented centralized virtual cards, policy-based controls, automations, and automatic spend alerts so Passport could distribute controlled spending to employees, auto-create cards for stipends, and flag duplicate or anomalous charges. The Ramp platform delivered granular budgeting insights, uncovered cost-saving opportunities, and freed the finance team about 10–15 hours per week while improving scalability and oversight.
