Renesas Electronics Malaysia, a division of the world’s largest microcontroller supplier with roughly 2,600 multilingual employees at its Kuala Lumpur plant, faced HR and payroll pain points from an aging payroll system and fragmented, paper-based processes. Standalone leave and attendance tools, multi-shift tracking challenges, time-consuming reporting and manual appraisals caused errors and kept HR focused on transactional work instead of strategic initiatives.
Renesas implemented Ramco’s Full Suite HCM across its Malaysia (2,500 employees) and Singapore (1,000 employees) sites, covering core HR, time & attendance (with factory time-clock integration), payroll (SAP-integrated and statutory-compliant), talent and recruitment modules. The result was a single, web-based platform delivering automated attendance and performance processes, real-time reporting, time-based allowance calculations and automatic appraisal demerit scoring—freeing HR from administrative tasks and streamlining end-to-end HR operations.
