A Ramco Systems Case Study
Malaysia’s largest conglomerate — with 13 divisions, 50 locations and over 13,000 employees across 190 entities — was struggling with payroll complexity and rising costs driven by four unconnected legacy systems. Isolated systems caused double data entry, frequent data errors, leave-eligibility issues, limited processing access (only two desktops), and fully printed payslips and tax forms, creating inefficiency and compliance risks.
Working with Ramco, the group implemented a single, integrated HCM payroll platform across 190 units that automated leave, OT, exit benefits and payroll calculations, introduced e-payslips and centralized MIS reporting, and enabled web-based remote processing. The solution now processes 7–10 payrolls monthly with 900+ pay elements and 20+ bank files, reduced overall processing to 5 hours, configured 150,000+ leave records (handling 28,000+ monthly leave transactions), eliminated manual calculations and bulk printing, and improved payroll accuracy, cost savings and employee visibility.
