A Ramco Systems Case Study
PHI, a rapidly expanding aviation operator, needed a scalable, web-centric IT system to replace more than 1,000 disparate data silos and to integrate maintenance, materials and finance for field bases worldwide. Key challenges included planning heavy maintenance to reduce aircraft downtime, achieving near-zero paper usage across shops and cockpits, streamlining supply chain and inventory across multiple bases, tracking warranty efficiently, replacing a homegrown EFB, and speeding up post-flight billing.
Ramco delivered a web-centric maintenance, engineering and supply-chain platform with integrated accounting and a modern Electronic Flight Bag, centralized resource planning, automated materials flow and rules-based warranty claims. The solution cut heavy maintenance turn-around time by about half, enabled real-time decision-making from a single data source, achieved paperless operations, delivered 99.9% inventory accuracy, enabled near-real-time billing, uncovered roughly $6M in annual warranty savings and increased aircraft availability that drives an estimated $1.5M incremental revenue per aircraft per year.
