PPN Power Generating Company (PPGC), headquartered in Chennai, is the largest independent power producer in Tamil Nadu operating a 330.5 MW gas/naphtha combined-cycle plant. After industry reforms and the Electricity Act 2003 introduced competition and tighter regulatory demands, PPGC faced fragmented finance and operations systems, limited real-time visibility from its remote plant, costly maintenance of capital-intensive assets, and the need for tighter cost and compliance control.

PPGC implemented Ramco’s integrated ERP—linked to the plant DCS—to unify finance and operations and provide real-time KPIs and alerts.
