Ramco partnered with a Hyderabad-headquartered trading firm — India’s second-largest exporter of agricultural and aqua products — that sources from some 175,000 farmers through village e‑Choupals and was expanding into rural retail. The company needed a highly flexible, scalable trading platform to manage 2,500+ product lines, diverse local business practices, poor rural IT infrastructure, multilingual requirements and changing international regulations; off‑the‑shelf software could not meet these complexities.

Ramco co‑created a nodal digital marketplace on Ramco VirtualWorks®, delivering the solution in 10 months and integrating 40 ERP and 500 e‑Choupal locations (scalable to 200/5,000), with rollout across 800 distribution centers and support for eight local languages. The platform centralized agri‑trading, procurement, blending, exports and rural distribution, eliminated middlemen and logistics inefficiencies, improved multi‑level stock visibility, impacted millions of customers and ran with high performance and minimal post‑deployment defects.
