Case Study: Global Multinational Banking Group reduces payroll TCO and operational risk with Ramco Systems' integrated multi-country payroll platform

A Ramco Systems Case Study

Preview of the Global Multinational Banking Case Study

India’s Largest International Bank Trusts Ramco

One of India’s largest international banks, operating since 1858 with a presence in 60 countries and 86,000 employees, faced major payroll challenges from an aging in‑house system: inconsistent input data, high operational and compliance risk from multiple vendors and intermediaries, and limited automation while processing about USD 6 billion annually. To address these issues the bank launched a multi-year Global Payroll Transformation program in 2017 to consolidate vendors, standardize inputs and introduce automated, straight‑through processing.

Ramco was selected as technology partner and deployed its AI‑infused, multi‑tenant Global Payroll and HR platform with Zero‑UI features, multi‑language support and device‑agnostic access. The rollout consolidated payroll across 18 countries (covering 18,000+ employees), delivered a Golden Source for 20 countries automating USD 1.6 billion in payroll, reduced partners and TCO, improved STP, standardized processes and decision‑making, and earned the project the GPA Global Payroll Transformation Project of the Year Award.
