A Ramco Systems Case Study
Air Evac Lifeteam is one of the largest independently owned air ambulance operators in the U.S., flying from more than 125 bases across 15 states with roughly 140–150 helicopters and tens of thousands of annual flying hours and transports. Operating remotely across a wide geography created persistent challenges around regulatory compliance, dispersed training and technical support, slow parts logistics, manual records and tool tracking, and managing more than 50,000 maintenance transactions a year.
Over a decade of rolling upgrades to Ramco’s NextGen M&E MRO IT gave Air Evac a fully integrated solution for maintenance, purchasing, inventory, facility objects and records. Features like Engineering Orders, enhanced reporting, electronic records, digital signatures and mobile apps (Mechanic/Warehouse Anywhere) sped parts circulation, reduced spare inventory and AOG downtime, improved compliance and tool calibration tracking, and enabled better maintenance forecasting (e.g., 300‑hour major checks), yielding faster turnarounds, lower costs and scalable visibility across the wider Air Medical Group.
