SLAM Construction Services is leading a $3.8M renovation and 3,000‑sq‑ft addition to the University of Hartford’s Gengras Student Union, and on-site superintendent Paul Darasz needed a faster, more accurate way to manage daily documentation, weather tracking, trade coordination, safety and sequencing. To support those needs, SLAM uses Raken’s field reporting tools (the Raken App) to capture jobsite information in real time.

By using the Raken App on his phone and tablet, Darasz can fill out reports throughout the day, capture weather conditions, and produce professional, easy-to-read daily reports — saving roughly an hour each day otherwise spent on end-of-day documentation. Raken’s solution improved multi-tasking, report quality and jobsite coordination, helping SLAM keep the Gengras Student Union project on schedule.
