A Raken Case Study
Swinerton Renewable Energy was building a 200 MW, 2,700‑acre solar farm in Los Banos (about $6M estimated cost) with ~400 workers and dozens of subcontractors, and struggled to keep stakeholders informed. Daily field reporting was paper‑based and time‑consuming—taking 30–60 minutes to log and distribute—resulting in low compliance and poor site visibility until they adopted Raken’s construction field management and daily reporting app (used on iPads).
Raken replaced paper reports with digital daily logs, photos, timecards and manpower tracking, making it easy for crews to submit reports and for managers/owners to view progress in under a minute. The switch increased subcontractor reporting compliance, sped up information access, helped settle disputes and saved money (e.g., documented a subcontractor issue and verified a 15‑truck delivery), delivering faster, clearer site visibility thanks to Raken.
