How an Emergency Appeal Saved Starjam in Just Two Days

Starjam, a New Zealand-based not-for-profit supporting young people with disabilities through music and performance workshops, faced an urgent funding crisis and the threat of closure because of rising costs and reduced funding. With just two weeks to raise NZ$100,000 to keep its programs running, the team turned to Raisely and its fundraising platform to launch an emergency appeal.

Using Raisely’s easy-to-use campaign tools, including an appeal template, page editor, donation tracker, and donation feed, Starjam built and launched the Save our Starjam (SOS) campaign in just four days. The appeal hit its initial target in two days and went on to raise NZ$184,576 online plus NZ$65,000 from major donors, exceeding NZ$250,000 in total and securing the future of its workshops.
