NAIST Robot Learning Laboratory prints 300 test components with Raise3D

The Nara Institute of Science and Technology's Robot Learning Laboratory was hindered in its robotics research by outdated 3D printers. These single-extruder machines were limited to single-color printing, had poor material compatibility, and suffered from printing instability, which frustrated the lab's need for repetitive trial and error. They implemented two printers from Raise3D, the E2 and Pro3.

The Raise3D solutions provided multi-color printing capabilities, broad material compatibility, and superior stability. This allowed the lab to fabricate about 300 test components and fixtures, using printers that ran 10-40 hours weekly without failure. The result was a significant acceleration of research activities, streamlined workflow, and reduced lead times and costs for the laboratory.
