Omni Hotels & Resorts, a 60-property luxury portfolio, faced a major revenue management challenge in 2008: moving away from bucket-based pricing and a legacy system to an RMS that could forecast distinct customer segments, set hurdle rates, protect lengths of stay, and base BAR on arrival and full pattern length of stay. After evaluating four vendors, Omni selected Rainmaker and its guestrev® solution to deliver precision pricing and segment-level demand forecasting.
Rainmaker implemented guestrev® to provide granular demand forecasts, dynamic hurdle-based pricing, and stay‑length protection, with nightly automated recommendations that revenue directors can override. As a result, Omni stopped managing by buckets and now yields precise rate plans, achieving consecutive year‑over‑year RevPAR index growth since 2009 and growing market share—outcomes Rainmaker attributes to its guestrev® methodology (with revenue uplifts of 5–15% cited across properties).
