Streamlining QA Processes for Developer-Driven Testing

Guru is a Philadelphia-based knowledge management company that frequently ships new features and needed to maintain product quality as it scaled—without hiring a dedicated QA team. Previously, manual testing pulled the whole company into releases, so CTO Mitch Stewart sought a way to automate and embed QA into developer workflows rather than add headcount.

By adopting Rainforest QA and its DevX CLI, Guru’s developers now write, run, and update regression tests from their code editor and receive bug alerts in Slack, making testing part of everyday development. The change scaled testing without a QA hire, returned regression results in about 30 minutes, and recovered roughly 114 hours of manual testing per month, letting the team focus on building the product.
