How Netchex Uses Rainforest and Microsoft VSTS For QA Testing

Netchex is a web-based payroll, HR and benefits platform serving customers from small businesses to large enterprises. Their partially distributed QA team of 13, led by Regression Manager Jennifer Queen, faced the challenge of keeping up with frequent releases and a complex, modular product while using cumbersome test-case practices in VSTS and Confluence that made regression testing slow and hard to scale.

Netchex integrated Rainforest for test execution and organization with Microsoft VSTS for sprints and issue tracking, tagging and grouping tests in Rainforest and linking failed runs back to VSTS bug reports. The result: rapid, repeatable regression runs (e.g., 70 tests in ~30 minutes vs. days or a week manually), faster identification of blockers and bug reporting, smoother onboarding for new leads, and overall much quicker releases.
