How America’s Test Kitchen Uses Rainforest to Scale QA Test Coverage Efficiently

America’s Test Kitchen wanted to keep its QA team lean and developers involved in testing while pursuing continuous deployment, but found that trying to automate everything in-house would slow development and distract from priority projects. The challenge was to scale QA coverage efficiently without building a large QA org or pulling engineers off feature work.

They adopted Rainforest QA (DevEx) to drive tests from the command line, cherry-pick browsers, and offload repetitive checks so developers stay focused on product work. Working with Rainforest’s customer success team, they started small—building a regression suite for two of five sites—and have been able to grow coverage methodically, free up QA capacity for strategic work, and plan further expansion.
