A Railwaymen Case Study
Frindow, a UK startup, aimed to tackle societal loneliness by creating a social networking platform to help isolated individuals connect. They faced the challenge of building a complex web application from scratch during the COVID-19 pandemic, which required a flexible and rapid development approach. To achieve this, they partnered with the software development vendor Railwaymen to build their Ruby on Rails-based application.
Railwaymen implemented a full-featured web app with video chat using WebRTC, user profiles, discussion groups, and forums. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the solution was successfully launched and received positive user feedback. The vendor Railwaymen delivered a significant amount of work for the startup's budget, enabling Frindow to establish a competitive platform that is currently live in the UK with plans for international expansion.
