Case Study: Switch maintains 100% uptime and protects customers from DDoS attacks with Radware's Attack Mitigation System

A Radware Case Study

Preview of the Switch Case Study

Switch Partners with Radware to Secure the World’s Largest Colocation Data Centers and to Protect Its Customers From Attack

Switch operates the award-winning Tier IV Gold SUPERNAP colocation data centers in Las Vegas—the highest-ranking facilities of their kind—and needed a market-leading cyber security solution to preserve 100% guaranteed uptime for thousands of customers. The challenge was to protect SUPERNAP from all forms of DDoS and application-layer attacks, including volumetric assaults up to 300 Gbps and 220 million packets-per-second, without disrupting legitimate traffic.

Switch deployed Radware’s Attack Mitigation System (AMS), a real-time, behavioral-based platform that automatically detects and mitigates network and application attacks (including low-and-slow, encrypted and zero-minute attacks) and leverages Radware’s cloud scrubbing network for volumetric overflow. The solution kept SUPERNAP online during attacks, preserved business continuity for customers, and enabled Switch to offer AMS protection to its subscribed DDoS customers.
