A Radware Case Study

Regency Hospital Company Makes the Rounds Easily with Radware

Regency Hospital Company, an Atlanta-based provider of acute, long-term inpatient care operating dozens of facilities nationwide, faced a growing network challenge: as it expanded, the hospital needed reliable, always-on access to web-based medical records and applications while meeting strict HIPAA security requirements. Network outages and limited bandwidth risked interrupting clinicians’ access to high-resolution images and up-to-the-minute patient data—directly affecting quality of care.

Regency and partner Enroute deployed Radware’s LinkProof (dual LinkProof appliances) to provide multi-homing, WAN acceleration, load balancing across independent multi-T1 carriers (AT&T and Sprint), and built-in DoS/intrusion protection. The result was continuous, secure access to clinical applications and VPN services, faster retrieval and updating of patient records, cost savings from web-based workflows, and an overall improvement in caregiver efficiency and standard of care.
