PenTeleData Chooses Radware to Protect Its Networks and Customers Connected to Its IP Services

PenTeleData, a regional partnership of cable and telephone companies founded in 1994 with over 9,000 miles of fiber and 60 PoPs, faced frequent application and connectivity disruptions from its legacy DDoS/security solution. The company needed a more reliable, automated defense that would integrate with Kentik’s cloud-based NetFlow analytics and provide a platform to offer DDoS mitigation as a service to customers.

PenTeleData deployed Radware’s behavioral, real-time Attack Mitigation System (AMS), integrated with Kentik for automated detection and mitigation and implemented both in its scrubbing center and via Radware’s cloud scrubbing for customer needs. The result: half the prior maintenance effort, effective real-time protection without blocking legitimate traffic, the ability to trigger scrubbing from Kentik, and a new DDoS protection service resold to customers.
