A Radware Case Study
Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW), a campus of more than 5,500 students with 14 remote Adult Education Centers and a growing e‑learning program, needed robust, secure, always‑on Internet access for web, e‑mail and video‑broadcast classes. Relying on a single 3 Mbps ISP left CUW vulnerable—an extended outage halted classes and remote VPN access, threatened its reputation and risked losses estimated at $75,000 per day, while some 2,500 users accessed services daily.
CUW added a second 25 Mbps AT&T circuit and deployed Radware LinkProof (later in a redundant pair) via reseller Galaxy Data to provide intelligent multi‑homing, link load balancing and link optimization. The solution (backed by Radware’s APSolute OS and Application Front‑End for server availability) ensured 24/7 connectivity, automatic failover, faster content delivery and integrated DDoS/intrusion protection; CUW reports no outages since deployment, reduced ISP costs and uninterrupted access for students and faculty.
