Bridgewater State University validates student registration under peak load

Bridgewater State University, serving over 11,500 students, needed to validate that its recently upgraded Ellucian Banner ERP on an Oracle RAC (with four front-end servers) could handle peak self-service registration traffic. The university must support 1,500–2,100 students registering within a 1.5-hour window, so confirming performance and stability under that short, intense load was critical.

Using RadView’s WebLOAD (including tests run on Amazon Cloud Services), the team recorded and scripted the full registration scenario and iterated tests up to 1,000 virtual users. The full registration load test completed with no performance or server-side issues, giving the university confidence and peace of mind that the system could support peak registration and allowing corrective actions if any issues had been found.
