Client upgrades Windows 7 drivers to Windows 10 in 3-4 man months with Radixweb

The client, an OEM that develops PCI cards with multiple serial and parallel ports, faced the challenge of upgrading its Windows 7 device drivers to be compatible with Windows 10. They needed to ensure the drivers worked on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems, implement new features to prevent port name overlap, and achieve WHLK certification from Microsoft for the 64-bit driver. They engaged Radixweb for this device driver upgradation project.

Radixweb reviewed the existing source code and updated it to accommodate architectural changes in Windows 10. The team made the driver compatible with both system architectures and successfully implemented the new port naming feature. Radixweb then tested the driver using Microsoft's new procedures, fixed all issues, and achieved a passing WHLK result. This allowed the client to acquire the necessary Microsoft signature, ensuring their product was fully certified and compatible with the new operating system.
