Town of Babylon boosts employee health with Radish Health and 78% utilization

The Town of Babylon, a municipal government on Long Island, NY, sought to leverage federal ARPA funds to build a holistic health and wellness program for its 646 employees. The challenge was to invest these one-time funds to improve employee health outcomes, build community resilience, and maintain vital public services without impacting its annual budget. To meet this need, the town selected vendor Radish Health to provide convenient medical services.

Radish Health implemented a program providing town staff with primary care, mental health therapy, and nutritional coaching. The solution was funded through the ARPA's SLFRF program, allowing the town to offer these services to 100% of employees through 2026. The results were a 78% utilization rate, with 505 employees engaging in 3,109 interactions, proving the program's long-term value to leadership. Radish Health's services helped the town improve employee health and operational readiness for the future.
