Securing Petroleum Storage Tanks in Southeast Asia

Largest Petroleum Distribution Storage Tanks Firm, one of the largest petroleum distribution companies in Southeast Asia, needed a cybersecurity solution for a storage terminal facility that could satisfy government regulations while protecting complex OT operations. The firm also wanted visibility across multiple intrusion detection systems and tighter control over access during maintenance activities. Vendor Radiflow was selected to help secure the environment with its industrial cybersecurity portfolio, including iSID intrusion detection, iCEN central monitoring, and iSEG secure gateways.

Radiflow implemented a layered solution with iSID sensors across three tank units, iCEN for centralized monitoring and management from the SOC, and iSEG-3180 DPI firewall/ruggedized gateways with APA-based remote access control. iSAP Smart Collectors were also used to efficiently forward mirrored traffic without overloading the network, reducing the number of iSID instances needed and lowering project cost. As a result, the system is fully functional, has been regularly detecting anomalies and issuing remediation recommendations, and has improved compliance, visibility, and control across the terminal.
