Large Hospital Campus - Customer Case Study

A large hospital campus in the EMEA region needed to secure a highly complex OT environment where critical building and life-safety systems depended on continuous uptime. The campus faced common healthcare challenges such as shared OT/IT networks, limited segmentation, separate monitoring interfaces, and inconsistent device hardening, putting high-voltage power, HVAC, elevators, medical gases, cold storage, and HazMat sensors at risk. Radiflow’s iSID Industrial Threat Detection platform was used to assess the environment and identify vulnerabilities.

Radiflow first ran iSID in Learning Mode to build a detailed network model of assets, protocols, connections, and risks, then worked with the client to remediate the findings and establish a clean baseline for ongoing monitoring in Detection Mode. The solution also added rule-based alerts for critical controllers and sensor thresholds, as well as changes to controller logic or new devices on the network. As a result, the system is now fully operational in one facility, has been approved for rollout across the hospital chain, and will ultimately support an outsourced OT-SOC monitoring multiple hospitals.
