BP (Deep Horizon) secures offshore rig in the North Sea with Radiflow and detects vulnerabilities at one rig

BP faced the challenge of securing the offshore OT network for its North Sea oil-drilling rigs, which had limited physical access and previously relied only on a firewall for cyber-defense. The customer needed to prevent breaches, gain full network visibility, and achieve compliance with industry regulations, leading them to partner with vendor Radiflow and deploy its iSID Industrial Threat Detection System.

Radiflow's solution involved the installation and remote configuration of its iSID system, which provided full visibility into the network and detected vulnerabilities and misconfigured PLCs. The results included the system issuing remediation recommendations and relaying alerts directly to the company's SCADA system. Radiflow's deployment was successful, and the project is expected to expand to additional rigs.
