A large US power transmission cooperative faced significant OT security challenges due to its expansive network of over 120 substations, which created a large attack surface. To upgrade its cyber-posture and align with industry best practices, the co-op engaged InfoSight, Inc. to conduct a risk assessment. InfoSight recommended implementing an intrusion detection system and selected Radiflow's iSID product for the solution.

Radiflow's iSID solution was deployed using iSAP Smart Collectors at remote substations and standalone iSID units at primary locations, all monitored centrally. Within just 24 hours of deployment, the system detected unwanted traffic leaking onto the OT network from external sources, which was then eliminated by tightening firewall rules. Radiflow's solution also provided the co-op with unprecedented network and asset visibility, including detailed maps of all devices, their vulnerabilities, and communication paths, greatly enhancing their operational security.
