Traveloka, Southeast Asia’s leading digital travel and lifestyle booking platform with over 40 million app downloads, needed a location data infrastructure to surface timely, context-aware features and recommendations during travelers’ journeys. Rather than build and maintain cross-platform location tooling internally, Traveloka evaluated vendors and selected Radar for its lightweight SDKs, tracking presets, geofencing and Places management, and integrations with existing analytics and messaging tools.
Radar implemented geofencing, Places and region tracking so Traveloka can detect arrivals and departures and trigger personalized in-app and push experiences (e.g., transport booking prompts and local promos). The Radar solution delivered measurable impact: roughly a 300% increase in open rates/on‑trip engagement, significant revenue uplift from location-triggered promotions, a one-month implementation timeline, and at least three months of engineering effort saved.
