Ibotta, the shopping rewards app that recently launched Pay with Ibotta to let users pay and earn cash back in‑app, needed highly personalized, location‑aware messaging to reach shoppers at the right time and place. Ibotta integrated Radar (via the developer SDK and Braze integration) to trigger pushes when shoppers are near supporting retailers or traveling, enabling timely, contextual campaigns. With Radar, Ibotta sent over 8M location‑based push notifications in a four‑week period, saw location‑triggered opens run 10x higher than scheduled non‑contextual pushes and overall open rates increase by more than 30%, plus a 1% rise in conversions, 1% more active users, 1.5% more app sessions, and a meaningful uptick in annualized gross profit—while reducing engineering maintenance and scaling marketing efforts.
