Zebra Technologies faced the challenge of needing to prove their disaster recovery capabilities for a complex, revenue-generating application without taking their production environment offline. A successful, non-disruptive test was required to demonstrate compliance with customer SLAs and regulatory requirements. They turned to RackWare for its disaster recovery solution, RMM DR, which was recommended by VMware.

RackWare's solution enabled a live, non-disruptive DR test of Zebra’s multi-tier application environment, which was running across vCloud Air data centers. The implementation was successful, providing auditable proof that Zebra could meet its SLAs with no loss of transactions and no adverse impact on the production systems. RackWare’s expertise and technologies, such as Selective Sync and bridge servers, were critical to the successful planning and execution of the test.
