A Rackspace Technology Case Study
Xtrant is a cloud-based project collaboration platform spun out of Sposto Interactive’s internal extranet, designed to keep teams and clients on the same page with transparent project histories, simple CRM features and easy adoption. The company faced the challenge of rebuilding that internal tool into a flexible, multi-tenant platform that could scale reliably, invite external collaborators seamlessly, and be delivered on a predictable budget.
Xtrant chose Rackspace for true virtual machines, cloud load balancing and database hosting, along with fixed pricing, a simple admin interface and responsive support; the Rackspace Startup Program’s 12 months of promotional hosting let the team configure and optimize their production environment. With that infrastructure in place Xtrant launched a redesigned public site and mobile apps, added SSO and unlimited paid-account storage, and pursued a freemium growth plan aimed at reaching cash-flow positive status and scaling user adoption.
