Tutti Music Player - Customer Case Study

Tutti Dynamics, a New Orleans music‑tech startup, built the Tutti Music Player to let students practice with master musicians using multi‑angle video, solo/mute tracks, sheet music and looping. Originating from founder Darren Hoffman’s film‑school prototype, the company needed to reliably deliver very large audio/video files (for example, Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra recordings with 17 individual musician tracks) to users worldwide.

The Rackspace Startup Program provided cloud infrastructure and media delivery services that handled Tutti’s heavy file loads and streaming needs. Rackspace supported a pilot with Jazz at Lincoln Center reaching hundreds of high schools, helped roll the Player out to Berklee students and the 2013 iPad release, and enabled seamless global delivery, reliable performance and continued content expansion.
