Thomas Industrial Coatings, restoring the historic Eads Bridge in St. Louis, faced the complex, safety-critical challenge of documenting thousands of surfaces and job-site activities. TruQC runs on Rackspace Cloud Files and Cloud Servers—storing MySQL backups, photos and documents (about 30 GB as of Jan 2013) and using redundant Apache/PHP and master/slave MySQL instances with hourly and daily backups. Rackspace’s uptime and scalability (storage growing ~70%/month) gave TruQC reliable off-site access, better data protection and consistent, mission-critical availability, resulting in safer, more efficient and accurately documented projects.
