The Macaluso Group (TMG) provides copay assistance programs that make specialized medical treatments more affordable, and as demand and transaction volumes grew the company outgrew its traditional hosted data center. TMG needed a more flexible, rapidly scalable platform and to meet rigorous security standards—including HIPAA and PCI DSS Level 1—for handling patient and payment data.

TMG moved its production environment to Amazon Web Services with Rackspace designing, building and managing the cloud architecture and security controls. Rackspace’s managed services and compliance assistance enabled TMG to run 100% of production on a HIPAA- and PCI DSS-compliant AWS environment, delivering greater scalability, streamlined operations and ongoing security monitoring.
