A Rackspace Technology Case Study
StudyOnBoard is a web platform that provides free, 24/7 virtual group study rooms so students and teachers can meet and collaborate remotely. Co‑founded by Texas A&M student Christopher Findeisen after he struggled to coordinate in‑person study sessions, the startup aims to improve study habits and grades and plans to add professional tutoring and real‑time document collaboration.
By joining the Rackspace Startup Program through Startup Aggieland, StudyOnBoard gained scalable cloud hosting, technical support, and discounted (nearly free) infrastructure that reduced variable expenses and simplified deployment. That support enabled a smooth beta launch, faster development of new features (like document uploads), and expanded marketing to other universities, allowing the team to focus resources on product improvement and user growth.
