Science Warehouse, a Leeds-based provider of spend-management and B2B eMarketplace solutions for education, healthcare, government and commercial sectors, needed greater flexibility to accelerate product innovation. Its legacy, physically hosted VMware infrastructure couldn’t scale to support the team’s growth plans, and although staff had AWS experience they’d not built production-scale cloud products.

Working with Rackspace, Science Warehouse moved to a hybrid cloud model combining Rackspace Fanatical Support® for AWS with a physically managed VMware foundation; Rackspace handled the migration and provided ongoing AWS expertise. The transition was smooth, enabling a cloud-first development approach that delivered three major product releases in the first half of the year, more than doubled deployment frequency, and accelerated innovation and market differentiation.
