Rackspace Startup Program Spotlight on RunLastMan Online Fundraising for Sports Fans

RunLastMan is a Dublin-based startup (founded 2013) that modernizes fundraising by hosting live “last man standing” sports prediction games online so clubs, charities and fans can join, pay and make picks via laptop or mobile. The founders set out to solve entrenched problems in Irish fundraising — mostly offline events, low donor incentives, lack of transparency and little ongoing engagement — and needed reliable, cost-effective hosting and infrastructure to scale the service.

RunLastMan joined the Rackspace Startup Program for hosting support, which freed resources to focus on product development and growth. With that backing they secured almost 100 research surveys and a feasibility grant, raised more than €20,000 for causes in the first four months, and prepared for rapid expansion in 2014 including a mobile app, redesigned site, more sports and a UK launch with GBP support.
