Rackspace expands Pinnacle into a private cloud environment and consolidates its infrastructure estate

Pinnacle Group is a UK housing and regeneration organisation serving over 320,000 homes and employing around 2,300 people. As data volumes and communications channels grew, Pinnacle had outgrown its existing cloud, faced the impending GDPR compliance requirements, and—following a management buyout—needed to segregate and consolidate an unintegrated IT estate to support new business demands.

Rackspace deployed a VMware-powered private cloud, building separate, scalable environments, consolidating applications and infrastructure, and implementing a GDPR-focused data management strategy as a managed service. The result was greater agility, security and capacity to handle multi-channel communications and business growth, with Pinnacle able to focus on service delivery while Rackspace centralises and manages its cloud environment.
