A Rackspace Technology Case Study
LKQD Technologies is an enterprise video advertising platform that connects publishers, vendors, advertisers and agencies to millions of viewers across desktop, mobile and connected TV. As the company scaled from hundreds of thousands of daily impressions to processing millions of impressions per second for 400+ clients—logging roughly 800 billion ad metrics daily—LKQD needed an infrastructure partner that could deliver high-performance, highly scalable capacity at an efficient cost after public-cloud spot instances proved unstable.
LKQD moved to Rackspace managed Dedicated Servers, colocation, CoreOS/Kubernetes and Ceph storage, using bare-metal Intel Xeon hardware and 24x7 Fanatical Support. The switch delivered greater stability and compute capacity without higher cost, rapid deployment (600 servers racked in five weeks), and the ability to run ~1,000 servers (~45,000 cores, 7,500 containers) to handle massive throughput, lower latency for customers and easier global scaling.
