A Rackspace Technology Case Study
Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief and food-rescue organization, needed to move away from a traditional colocation setup that required ongoing hardware maintenance, capital spending, and complex infrastructure management. To support its nationwide network of food banks and focus more on its mission, Feeding America partnered with Rackspace Technology and VMware®.
Rackspace Technology helped Feeding America migrate 350 servers and more than a petabyte of storage into the Rackspace Cloud, delivering a fully managed Infrastructure-as-a-Service environment with hosting, maintenance, backup, resiliency, and 24x7 support. The result was greater security, scalability, and availability, and Feeding America reported that Rackspace freed up 45% of its IT staff’s time while reducing operational burden and enabling the team to concentrate on core priorities.
