A Rackspace Technology Case Study
Double Stallion Games is a Montreal-based indie studio formed out of the Execution Labs incubator that builds arcade-style mobile games with HD cartoon graphics and tight touch controls. Their debut title, Big Action Mega Fight (BAMF), needed reliable hosting and backend services to support the game, company websites and development tools while the small team focused on post-launch content and platform expansion.
Through the Rackspace Startup Program Double Stallion received a year of hosted services and access to Rackspace experts for things like JIRA, backups and their game backend. That support cut infrastructure costs, freed the four-person developer team to concentrate on game design and new features, and positioned the studio to roll out updates and an Android version with confidence in ongoing operational support.
