Construct (formerly Scirra) is a London-based gaming startup that builds browser-based game-authoring software, Construct 3, which lets users create games without programming. Facing rapidly rising traffic, bandwidth spikes (up to 300 GB in a day) and an aging self-hosted site that couldn’t scale, the team needed a redesigned, reliable, and scalable web platform.

They chose Rackspace Fanatical Support for Microsoft Azure; Rackspace built and managed the Azure infrastructure, added Cloudflare Railgun, and implemented monitoring and error reporting. The new site is more reliable, mobile-friendly and easier to develop for, freed the team from server administration, and supported 10,000 users in the first 24 hours after launch.
