Coast Capital Savings expands its membership nationally

Coast Capital Savings, Canada’s largest credit union by membership, set out to expand nationally after becoming a federal credit union in 2018 but lacked the cloud expertise and hybrid infrastructure strategy needed to deliver new digital products quickly and securely. The organization needed speed, agility and a partner to help overcome compliance and on‑premises constraints.

Onica, a Rackspace Technology Company, built a phased hybrid AWS environment, trained a cross‑functional cloud SWAT team, and migrated key workloads (starting with the ESB) using automation and cloud‑native practices. The result: 90% of new systems are cloud‑based, faster time‑to‑market, lower costs, and the ability to roll out innovative member services nationally.
