BMG, the world's fourth-largest music company, faced challenges in managing exploding data volumes from digital music platforms. Processing billions of daily data queries for royalty compensation was becoming slow and unscalable on their existing infrastructure. To achieve greater transparency and faster processing for artists, BMG partnered with Rackspace Technology for a cloud migration and data solution using Google Cloud.

Rackspace Technology migrated 95% of BMG's applications to Google Cloud and provided ongoing support with its Elastic Engineering services. The solution utilized Google Kubernetes Engine for scalable, containerized applications and BigQuery as a central data platform. This allowed BMG to process royalty data ten times faster and automate the onboarding of new artists, making that process 50% quicker while providing clients with more detailed and transparent earnings data.
