Instimatch Global, a Swiss-based fintech, wanted to streamline unsecured money markets, FX, and repo trading, which were still heavily reliant on phone, email, and fragmented bilateral relationships. These manual processes made price discovery slow and limited access to a wider pool of counterparties. R3’s Corda enterprise DLT platform was chosen to support a more connected, private, and scalable trading environment.
R3 implemented Corda to power Instimatch Global’s cash management platform, enabling peer-to-peer trading with immutable trade records, strong privacy, and straight-through processing. The platform improved transparency, efficiency, speed, and best execution, while helping users diversify funding sources and lending portfolios. Results included over $50 billion in community trade volume by September 2021, quoted volume reaching over $5 trillion, and repo trials showing potential savings of more than 30 minutes per bilateral transaction.
