aXedras, a Switzerland-based software developer focused on precious metals markets, needed a way to improve trust, provenance tracking, regulatory compliance, and product integrity across the gold supply chain. The industry relied heavily on paper-based, manual processes and fragmented documentation, making it slow and costly to prove origin, responsible sourcing, and chain of custody. To address this, aXedras worked with R3 and used Corda Enterprise to build a digital solution for the entire miner-to-investor value chain.

R3’s Corda Enterprise powers aXedras’ Bullion Integrity Ledger™, a blockchain-based platform that creates a digital twin for each bullion product and enables secure, private, peer-to-peer sharing of data among refiners, logistics providers, banks, traders, and other stakeholders. The result is better visibility of provenance, stronger confidentiality, faster transactions, less manual reconciliation, and reduced cost and effort across the network. The platform launched its live version in October 2020 and is already running with leading industry participants, with aXedras planning to double ecosystem participation and expand to more metals and modules.
