SymLiv opens gates in under a second with r2c

r2c built a real-time AI license plate recognition engine for SymLiv to automate access control in gated communities. The challenge was to replace slow, inconsistent manual checks and insecure keypads with a system that could instantly and accurately read license plates under all real-world conditions, from bad weather to odd angles, without causing delays or security breaches.

The solution implemented by r2c was a confidence-scored AI pipeline that integrates multiple LPR providers. It reads plates, scores its own confidence, cross-checks with vehicle fingerprints, and automatically opens the gate or routes ambiguous reads to a guard. The results included sub-second recognition with high nineties accuracy, eliminating gate lines. Guards were freed to focus on security, and every entry now creates a searchable audit trail, turning the gate into an intelligent, self-documenting checkpoint.
