VEO, a manufacturer of low- and medium-voltage switchgears, control systems, automation and drive system cabinets in Vaasa, Finland, struggled with technicians spending too much time searching for tools and lacking up-to-date information on tool availability. Quuppa’s case study highlights how VEO needed a better way to locate tools quickly and improve daily workflow efficiency.

Quuppa’s partner Trackinno implemented an indoor positioning system at VEO using ceiling locators and tool tags, with a pilot that was then expanded across the factory. The solution gave technicians real-time tool visibility through a clear mobile app, reducing search time and helping staff focus on actual work; with nearly 100 technicians, VEO said the time savings are significant and calibration certificates are now stored in one easy-to-find location.
