ILR Industries reduces spread of COVID infection and increases productivity through RTLS based approach to worker safety

ILR Industries, a leader in manufacturing plastics products in Hamilton, Ontario, needed a way to keep more than 40 factory workers safe and the business running during the COVID-19 pandemic. To address the challenge, ILR turned to Quuppa’s indoor positioning technology as part of the TRACE Sensors solution, which combined high-accuracy location monitoring with location intelligence software.

Quuppa helped ILR Industries deploy 24 ceiling-mounted locators across roughly 50,000 square feet to monitor worker proximity, support physical distancing alerts, and enable contact tracing if needed. The solution also provided visibility into asset and material locations, workflows, and productivity through visual dashboards, helping improve efficiency and safety in a 24/7 plant while making employees feel more secure at work.
